Desolate

Desolate

A Poem by Jofer Serapio

On a desolate wasteland I stood

Lost and disoriented

With neither company or comfort

I wandered through it all

Thousand acres of sand,

Of dried up land

There wasn’t much to see,

Nothing much really

For days I walked on

Not minding anything at all

Just kept on walking

Trying to find something

There was naught but the sun and me

Its heated rays bathing me

No any other

Only the sun and me

So I continued

On a pilgrimage of no reason

Didn’t think there was anything else

There was only the wasteland.
