A Poem by Jofer Serapio
"

Wrote this for a college lover. :p

"

Her eyes glimmer like stars
Her smiles haunt me constantly.
An angelic face adorns her
feminine grace.

Like a princess, she poses
fools like me with false hopes
She eases each pain of
loneliness.
Heaven is where she takes me.

She’s so near but seems very far.
I can hear her talk
     yet can’t talk to her.
I breathe her
yet can’t breathe when she’s near.
I gazed at her
     but can’t gaze back.

I can feel her feel me.
I caught her
     staring at me.
I know she needs me.
Her silhouette calls for
     my scarlet blood.

And yet,
as if separated by a glass veil,
not one of us can start
anything.

She fears talking to a peasant,
     recognition with one.
Oh! How she scars this broken heart.

She kills me with her love
Slowly, unwillingly,
     breaking this soul
     that bounds my all.

How happiness can sadden one,
     escapes me
How love can hurt someone,
     exceeds me.
How I can continue to love her with all these scars,
     confuses me.

I know she feels
     the same way I do.
Her kisses tell me so.
Her touch, her soul.
Her all.

Bitter and sweet,
heavenly and hellish.
This, her love, is undefined.
