Your Green

Your Green

A Poem by Qavah Simchah

I forget your eyes
Emerald seas
Forrest pines
I pine to see
Their color
Always green
Ever-gleam
I forget how your eyes
Felt on me
Was it like stirring tropic oceans
Or steady burning trees?
Handsome minty moss-covered
Lime-glowing under-sea clovers,
Come closer,
I want to know your green
