Still Standing

Still Standing

A Story by Qavah Simchah

Worn
I had to be so tired
Looking down
Shoulders slumping
I almost fell into your arms
Right there

Were you afraid I would?
You didn't turn
You didn't move

But I didn't move,
I wish I could
Just bend this breaking heart
And fall right into you

And would you bend for me?
But we're still standing.
