My Orion

My Orion

A Poem by Qavah Simchah

Orion standing over me
Champion of history
You stay
Steady when I'm not

My body creaking,
Satan's shreiking
And darkness spreads
With my heart beats

I wonder
Will I stain the night?

As good as dead
And full of empty,
Temptation bled me;
And I lost the fight
Again

Orion standing over me
Champion of history
You stay
As I fall away...

My stains became the skies
The stars pierced like a blade
And I lost my self,
I lost my name

Is there any mercy
In the night?
Is there rising music
On this battlefield?
Is my shame the end of me
Or is there hope unseen?

Orion standing over me
Champion of history
You stay
Steady when I'm not
