Those Who FaintA Poem by Qavah Simchah
Used to the confusion,
Decided on self-hate Oh, how sad are Those who faint! I fail them when I'm human I fail them when I'm a saint; Where's the strength for Those who faint? We're all just trying to find our way We're all just sinners who need to pray Fighting till we're out of breath... We're friends with pain, We hope for death! Falling through the cracks, and drying in the paint, Is there any Life to waste on Those who faint? Someone in our shadow, Has He lost his way? "Come," He says, "Follow Me. Walk and do not faint." "It's too late, Lord," I cry, Our hearts are in the grave!" "I know," He smiles, "I paid the price Of sin, your hearts to save!" Now, you breathe His mercy Now, you drink His grace and know it's true that Christ's love alone can rescue One who faints. © 2015 Qavah Simchah |
