Children of the Day

Children of the Day

A Poem by Qavah Simchah

Your eyes want the light
You never see inside
Every night
Join the darkness
Staying blind
To the pain
To the love
'Cause nothing is enough
To satisfy your mind
And make you feel
The touch of the day

Who will find you?

Broken chains fall away
And glaring white
Burns the shadows
Dries the rain
Lights the purpose
Of your life
When you look into
His eyes
Hear His words,
"Don't be afraid,
My child of the day."

[ 1 Thessalonians 5:5]
