A Poem by Chole Voce

i want to carve away my flesh

and see the bones

he has to love me

or else i will disappear.

light and air.

the cold is pentrating, chills rattle my teeth.

sleeping

and nothing else.

will you crawl into bed with me?

i want you to lay with me

until i fall off the world.

the windows are frosted

and we're eating out of the fireplace.

let me be with you

let me be what you want.

this skin is too thick,

i'm too tough.

i desire to be transparent

like a veil

and small as is a tear.

all that is known is what i wish for.
