Words from the Chair

Words from the Chair

A Poem by Paul R. Watson

I am quite comfortable

Quiet the racket for just a moment

Let me use my words

Sorry and thank you and

Blah blah blah

Why don’t you stop wasting everyone’s time

And turn on the toaster.

A interesting poem. Need to turn on the coffee and cook some eggs too. Good to be comfortable and have peace and quiet. Thank you for the excellent poem.

...interesting diction and syntax. I think I'd play around with structure more--could really further this poem.

This paints a scene of everyday life from the kitchen in many homes. It would have a little more smoothness if the sarcastic line about wasting everyone's time was eliminated or at least shortened. Your poem is certainly different.
