Feeling empty

Feeling empty

A Poem by paul sal.....

I was walking along the river
                                          feeling empty
                                          and ill at ease
                                          The fish followed
                                          along my current and
                                          looked at me
                                          as if to tease
                                          But, they jumped
                                          up onto the shore
and said let me fill your bank.

Very thought provoking, there are so many concerns here, some one already feeling empty, so why did the fish jumped to the shore to that person more empty, we should blame the fish as it is beyond our control to regulate it's movements, great write really enjoyed, plenty will relate to this poem for sure, take care

I liked the beginning very much and the part about the fish following
a human current not a river or lake current.
Fish die out of water so I take it that by jumping out of their safe zone
they gave themslves up to you to ease your emptiness....or do I have this all wrong??

Profound, the title hooks every reader who feels this way. I do feel empty, specially now, here in my current state, it is a hard life out here, but we do what we must for us to earn a living by just merely living... sigh... this piece tells so much of many who suffers from this state... great!
