A boat

A boat

A Poem by paul sal.....

                                             Who am I ?
                                             An ancient question.
I am an culmination  of thoughts
Brought together to ask this question.

I am aware that I cannot grasp the
whole meaning. My purpose is to tear
at the formidable gate that keeps me blind,
That precedes the fosse that keeps me at bay.

I have a boat. A boat with which to
                                             Traverse the unknowing and attack
                                             The barriers to insight.

                                             I am seeking crewmates
                                             not to serve my captaincy
but to share the same currents
                                             tarrying towards a revelation.

Upon reaching this land of potential awareness,
We will work together to chip at the walls of
                                             Misunderstanding and indifference.

Our best hope in our lifetime
is to create a tunnel, a chasm,
through which will pass our children
                                             and their children's children.

                                             For we can never know
                                             What our future will be
But we must insure that they will.

Seeking the presence of others as a way to wit, perhaps answer a few questions that you harbor within yourself . . . It's very profound, well done.
