                                         I knew you when I was

                                         a child and your company

                                         was always joyful and enlightening.

                                         I met you briefly, later on as a 

                                         young man. You tolerated, accepted, 

                                         and understood my indiscretions.

                                         Time flew by without contact by me

                                         but, again, I knew you understood.

                                         Your journey upon the earth was one

                                         of goodness, toleration and love.

                                         Oh grandfather, I trust your passing

                                         will be blessed.
