The womb of tomorrow

The womb of tomorrow

A Poem by paul sal.....

I do not claim to be the savoir,
or our future. I do believe however,
the things i have been compelled to
write about, the essence that drives me ,
was born from the womb of tomorrow.

Although central to each passing second,
the essence is very hard to grasp; for it is
dwarfed by today. It is a thought mostly
fleeting, a smell so encouraging  sometimes
we must sit down and eat. Mostly, it is too
                                  expensive.

We must consume the essence, envelope the
the thought, for if left unattended, we might
very well become fodder for the crayfish
at the bottom of the sea.

Again, we must pay attention to our world and what is going on around us or there may not be a world worth living in in the future. The writer cautions against getting caught up in the pleasures of the day. There's a life puzzle the writer wants us to figure out. Interesting, intriguing, thought provoking poem.

I'm right there with you. Humanity is screaming in pain and no one hears.
Writing in a style that exceeds the mental capabilities of one generation, and looking towards future ones in hope they comprehend the message while the older intellectuals are left to the crayfish because they've sank to the bottom of the sea. The future generation, however, finds it too "expensive" and altogether not worth the risk to analyze the concept behind a piece perceived as great by the writer . . . I like this, and especially the way you state it without sounding condescending. Well done, Indeed, p Salinger.
