Innocence Retained

                                                     We're brought into this world

                                                      as a very young child and

                                                      no sooner do we breath

                                                      do we all start to cry.

                                                      Can it be possible

                                                      at this very dear age,

                                                      the book of life 

                                                      has just started and

                                                      we're on the first page?

                                                                 and    

                                                      Chapter after chapter

                                                      we're brought up with laughter

                                                      while playing with toy guns and

                                                      building our cage. 

                                                       

                                                      As we get older and

                                                      the bars have been hung,

                                                      we finally discover

                                                      that what we've all done

                                                      was to create a chasm

                                                      into which we all fall

                                                      and blame the the problem

                                                      on heaven and hell.

                                                      Don't you see that 

                                                      the Earth is just ours,

                                                      without any hold by 

                                                      external powers?

                                                       

                                                      We are the God 

                                                      and we are the Devil,

                                                      we are responsible for

                                                      the life sustaining level.              

                                                      So put down your guns

                                                      and stop all the wars,

                                                      look at one another

                                                      and open your doors...

                                                      open your hearts and

                                                      open your minds,

                                                      look at your neighbor

                                                      and try to be kind.

                                                      You'll be surprised to find

                                                      that after a while,

                                                      a child will be born

                                                      that's wearing a smile.

Great write, very thought provoking, we make chasms ourselves and blame universe and other entities for the troubled waters, open your hearts and mind and you will make this world to smile, impressed with your way of thinking, congrats
