SHE CALLED IT LUST

SHE CALLED IT LUST

A Poem by P

The heart is heavy,

most days seem bleak and it’s hard to keep steady
a month has past, I want to say I’m ready
but I would be lying, I have to keep on pushing forward
I can love from afar and maybe someday hold her hand again
We’ll catch up, rekindle, and make amends or maybe we’ll just be friends
No, I can’t be friends - I care too much, my love is unconditional
It knows no end, look into my eyes and you’ll see the sorrow consume
She called it lust, she fed herself a story to have a reason to up and move

So now I read quotes about truelove, realizing no matter the distance,

no matter the journey, truelove has a habit of finding home
and I have this feeling we’ll soon cross paths again -

only to find out our soul’s never took time apart

Beautifully clean and pure! I love it.
Your writing made me long for your souls to meet again sooner than later.
I’m Anticipating what comes next.
