BEAUTY AND SEXY

It's not the same, let me tell you why.
Sexy is derived from lust, the want to fornicate and push aside.
Unclean, superficially worried about image and perception,
seeking attention and once received act deceptive as if it weren't the original intention.
Sexy is unoriginal but sweet to the eye.
Maybe you'll take her home to mom, but mom can see through all the hours it took for her to look that fly.
Sexy may be fine for now, but I prefer Beauty.
Make you want to act less unruly.
Beauty is serene, natural, no need for a second face to impress,
even when upset, make a real man yearn but still remind her she came into this world blessed.
Although the ugly in the world may make a man forfeit his hope in humanity,
the Beauty can help move forward and repurpose time to plan for a family.
Beauty is not Sexy. 

Author's Note

This was written in 2007, I was 19. The style is a bit rugged and urban. I started to see the difference between beautiful people and those who took extra time to -appear- sexy and superficial. Maybe I was naive or maybe I was heartbroken. It's been too long to even remember what I was feeling at the time.
