A Conversation With Mr.Cat

A Conversation With Mr.Cat

A Poem by IamDale
"

"I wish I could jump from a roof too"

"
Mr.Cat, oh, Mr.Cat,
The master of survival.
One deceiving creature you truly are.
Your white fur hides your flare and might.

You were making buzz in the city,
When you survived a dog's attack.
You created waves all over the town,
Why you tried to jump up and down from a roof.

50 feet or even higher, you dare not feel afraid,
For you can count up to 8, 'till you stop.
Unfair you are Mr.Cat how come you have nine lives.
What if I also want to try risking my own life?

Oh, Mr. Cat, I beg of you a piece of your soul,
For I have a friend in need, he barely holds on.
Oh please, Mr.Cat I'm down on my knees,
Just one life and never will you see me again!

Mr.Cat, he looked saddened and turned the other way.
Meow,Meow, oh dear, I have a life but one.
You are the ninth to come and beg.
So this my last journey in this world, sorry but I cannot give.

I turned away and thanked the cat,
With a bowl of milk and a piece of bread.
Then remembered what my sick friend said,
"This one life God gave me is the best I'll ever have".
"I made most of it and would like it to be my last"

This is outstanding man! Mr. Cat? Sorry, I'm a sucker when it comes to that. On to the poem!

I love how you used common occurrences when it comes to cats like when they run away from a dog or survive jumping from a high building. Maybe it makes us believe that we can do the same but we can't. When we live the life we have, we must accept it and go on. Our last moments are the best they say. We must make them count.

Oh I liked that! Especially the ending "This one life God gave me is the best I'll ever have." Oh true and well done with it being realized from the old wise cat whose already given 8 of his lives while we only need one in this lifetime. Well done bravo for creativity and the truth! Their right made me thought of Dr. Seuss too seeing that he teaches us a lesson in his own little way but, no way can he take your milk.

I like this a lot... somehow the character and the way you wrote Mr. Cat made me think of Dr. Seuss... just different in the way you wrote this, more depth and feeling then humor like Dr. Seuss. I like this, how you took the cat into play in this write. Very nice and different, i like these sort of writes, with casual items and things turned creatively spoken and into a character. Nice.

Darling. I thought this was so cute and resistible. The charm will continue to lure me in again and again.
