Just Tell Me

          Is this newfound feeling mutual between us? Please, just let me know. Let me know so I can hug you and kiss you as I’ve craved the brief time you’ve been around. That perfect smile you show me every time we look at each other, and the way your eyes light up must mean something, right? Is this how you act towards everyone? Just let me know.

          Why do you have to be so charming? People don’t act like this towards each other when they just want friendship. They can’t. It’s impossible. I know you feel it too, so just tell me. Tell me you feel the same. Tell me before it’s too late.  

          You’re only here for a short time, I know this, but don’t neglect your heart because of it. I can make this short time the best time of your life. I know I can. Just stop toying with my heart, and tell me. Tell me so I can stop feeling so weird about you. Tell me so I can make you happy. Tell me so I can make a beautiful memory, for I won’t be here for much longer either.

          I beg of you, just tell me, so I won’t cry when you’re gone. Just tell me so all this time I’ve spent waiting for someone like you won’t be wasted. I try to settle for your smile, but I want more. I need more. Just tell me. Please…just tell me.

This was written in about 8 minutes max. I had some feelings to get off of my chest, so I wrote this.
