The day we stopped looking, Charlie

The day we stopped looking, Charlie

A Poem by Pushya Mithra
"

A peek of the woman he loves through his eyes.

"
Mountain of curls, dark as the night, soft as the clouds
Caressed continuously, can't blame your finger tips
Damn that neck! Snuggling under it, mocks me for being so lucky
A simple swing of the clock, ticktock, for a useless subconscious study
Just can't unnotice every small detail, diagnosed me as crazy
As Colonel Frank Slade says " We are dead, the day we stopped looking, Charlie."

Intimidating the glow of Apollo, outshines the Lunar Goddess
Dare to stare straight into those eyes anticipate the death of confidence

Its a safe bet against those Playboys trying to coax you, Princess of their fairy tale
Some dreaming of you walking down the aisle
Messing up their pick up lines in the desperate efforts to be the alpha male
There is nothing more attractive than a woman who knows she is beautiful

Good poem. I like the metaphors in the opening lines.

Wonderful poem! With a very interesting concept 👍 Some really magical images in beginning, captures those beautiful moments one finds themselves in when lost in the throes of love.

I also really like the concept you threw into the second and last stanzas.

The battle of insecurity to find sincerity : D

Fantastic Job 👍
