Student's Life

Student's Life

A Poem by Purva Pathak

Student's life is that a game.
Full of pleasure and that of pain.
It is the time when we should be able to decide
What is good for us and what is to be kept aside.
First day of the session
We try to be disciplined and follow the rule.
But from the next day we think
' It is not so cool ! '
Come to the school clean and neat.
In the exams don't try to cheat.
Wish the teachers whom you meet.
Walk properly! don't drag your feet.
These are the rules we are taught to feed.
History,Geography,Civics are all boring.
During these lessons, class seems to be snoring.
During the abhorrent examination,
We all are in tension.
Praying to God," God! please pass me this time
Now onward I'll always pay attention. "
Our deplorable result horrifies us badly.
Wishing each other luck we leave the school sadly.
When a student,we think it is atrocious
But when we become  man,
We realize that it was the most precious.
It hurts a lot when the school life ends.
We miss our teachers and our friends.
We pray to the Almighty to get back that time
But it is just like searching for cherries in the juice of lime.

Mh, a wonderful poem! I know what you feel...
I have to say I will miss all my friends... I can relate to your poem :)
The only thing I disagree a bit is that I don't think I will miss my teachers (they did some real sh*t with us). But you know, everyone has different teachers, I only have my point of view^^

I really like this part:
"Praying to God," God! please pass me this time
Now onward I'll always pay attention.""

The above words are true. We appreciate school after we leave her. I agree with the thoughts in the poem. I like to be in the learning environment. Thank you for the excellent poetry.
