Sunrise

Sunrise

one day I saw the sunrise

a sight that you must see,

and though it is long gone now

it rose a light in me.

for that fire-ball we all know -

that shiny golden orb

while dancing in the blackness

it shows off to all.

like an enormous light-bulb

it does ignite our sky,

and stretch our inky shadows

as life and time fly by.

but what I like best is sunrise

the end of night, our dawn.

as you and i look up and up

we know a day is born.
