Have You Ever Seen?

Have You Ever Seen

The glow behind painful eyes
Blissfulness from pleasurable sighs
A child who discovers the prize
Relief at a newborns first cries

Have You Ever Seen

A family together, praying
Weeping willows gently swaying
Toddlers happily playing
Seniors gracefully graying

Have You Ever Seen

Material people share
Cold hearts that actually care
A lovers admiring stare
The friend who is always there

Have You Ever Seen

A genuine smile upon a face
The true meaning behind amazing grace
The seductive warmth of a fire place
Heavenly sights of outer space

Have You Ever Looked?

I love it!! It is put together and crafted with care to the storyline and punch at the end!! If I heard you read this poem aloud, I would picture you swaying a bit back and forth, sharing smiles, and at the end with a most curious pause...... read the last line with your head up, scanning the room, read it aloud, and then drop the microphone and walk off stage!! There are some lines that play on moral responsibility and it would be foolish to dismiss them as unimportant in any degree of importance. Beautiful Amber. xoxo -Mark

Interesting poem, very insightful. From a single question you derived the whole theme, and then cleverly ended it with a different one. I like the concept, it's really unique and has truly made me stop and think. I can relate to it very well. I'm pretty much an indifferent person and this poem kinda hit me straight. Great Poem.

Keep Writing. ^___^
