A Change, Unless

A Change, Unless

A Poem by LynLee

A Change, Unless

The color of the trees

will change,

unless it's an Evergreen.

The snow will eventually melt,

unless it's far north.

The rain in a storm

will come to a pause,

unless it's a rainforest.

The heat of a warm summer day will cool,

unless your on the equator.

The drumming of a heart will cease to drum,

unless it has love.

Because love isn't in just one heart,

it's in two,

or three,

or a hundred.

Love may be lost,

but it always finds it's way back.

So love will live on forever.

Like the color of an Evergreen,

like the unmelting snow up north,

like the everstopping rain in a rainforest,

like the neverending, hot summer days on the equator.

Like the heart that will always carry love.
