U.F.O

U.F.O

A Poem by LynLee

U.F.O

As I sit by my window,

watching the lightning go by,

I see lights

brighter than the sun.

Even as the lightning flickers on,

they stand out.

First they go left,

next  right,

and left again.

Now up,

now down.

They can't seem to decide where there going.

They could be lost,

in this new world.

They could be wondering,

"What are these lights beside me?"

The lightning scares them away.

As they disappaear

out of sight,

I think to myself,

"What are these lights?"

But I know I wasn't the only one watching,

My dogs were barking.

Author's Note

LynLee
i seriously just saw these weird lights. they were increasingly bright and there a storm here but these lights went left down, right down, then left up and then they just disappeared. and i said the last two lines because my dogs were barking and because they say that dogs bark near paranormal activity or extraterrestial activity.

wow, very descriptive, way to make us think...what COULD these lights be?
both from our point of view, and the aliens', or else, why would they be flying apparently out of control?

very creative :)

Nice work. Dogs tend to notice things that people dont most of the time.

Stanza 2 Line 6--They can't seem to decide where "they're" going.

I saw some wierd lights over Lake Erie driving home, one night, but it was a peacefilled night. They were so wierd that I thought it was best not to say to much about them. The next day, the newspaper indicated that these lights had been seen by thousands; what a relief--"The Northern Lights."

I have seen alot of strange things, especially in Canada where the skies are so clear in the rustic areas, but I believe that the source is probably always based on the earth.

Great subject matter and well written! The dogs bark and howl at eclipses, too!!
