desire burns within my soul

a spark flies from between my fingers

igniting an idea inside my mind

press the cherry lightly against my arm

feel the rush, pull back

stare as the skin turns a giddy pink

replace the cigarette between my lips

breathe deep and flick the ashes

press the glowing end harder on my skin

it burns, a blister forms
