Beauty Queen

Beauty Queen

A Poem by Kt
"

a haibun

"

The tumultuous waters roar below as I stare down into the abyss. I see the pageant to the left of my mind's eye; to the right, I see your porcelain skin.

Against all odds, the

sky is clear, though bound to turn

gray. I am tumult.

You leaked our secrets.

Now I am floating on the

dark, dingy waters.
