L.I.A.D

L.I.A.D

A Poem by purpleman17

Picture my dreams on a floating raft down the river that we call life

Should the river go rogue and the raft overflow, well, there's always tomorrow, right?

Why should I give in and settle for that which someone else can provide?

Then again isn't what we're after really just a free ride?

Alive you say, is how you feel, when all around you is dying

Scriptures from books as old as time itself say otherwise, are they lying?

Dance to the tick tock of a clock that doesn't exist to us

You were born only once, so age is a myth just like choosing true love over lust

Who am I to preach when all I see is red in my mind?

I can't see the future, Hell, I can't see the past, in other words I am blind.
