winter's hope

winter's hope

A Poem by brianna
"

another poem about winter, and questions, and hoping it will make sense soon.

"

the sun comes toward me

wraps a ray 'round

opens up my opal lids & carries me out

to land that blushes from a dream of roses

shaking off it's reposes

under trees, they & i

we exchange gracious sighs

me asking 'oh you, i, oh my, what we why?

to which the grove replies,

with a point to the expansive, cloudless sky.

&

the wind translate such stirring secrets

because he's slid within tree branches for so long

dancing with delight

violent, beautiful (de)lightness

dancing up to stratosphere

to such a place, my ears cannot hear

spin spin spiraling circles s s s s S 8 8 8

goes our little dot, a celestial bluegreen top

and then, night shades me once again

below the crunch

reflection of stars in snow

stars, like so many birthday wishes     blown out on candle wicks which

still hope within the crystalline glow
