WaterA Poem by Pure SweetnessA poem about the beautiful oceanThe aquatic begins to speak to me, as the waves began crashing with fear Pools of sorrow now fill up my eyes, and mother earth is releasing her tears As trash fills our seas, I am feeling an emotion, a sadness the color of blue Ignoring the problem, for it to only go away, nothing could be more untrue The ocean spray is a sound to remind us, nature's beauty is resting in our hands To rescue and nurture is only one's job, but there seems to be a great demand The animals pain we know it is real, but still setting it up we see ourselves fail The spirit of water lives within all of us, at the sound of the weeping of whales The cry of the dolphins will tell me a story, will we listen before it's too late? We need to treasure this beautiful planet, to let go of the hurt and the hate All of the droplets, releasing forgiveness, a cosmic rinse of what has been seen If only we purified every single action, washed away we could all be made clean There's a mermaid inside me, voicing her music, and I feel and know we belong In a world soaked in hope, renewal and peace, embracing the deep ocean's song
