Right Now

Right Now

A Chapter by Shawn Purcell
"

A kinda fun song strongly inspired by Springsteen's "You'll be Coming Down." I wrote this a while before but this album was the best fit.

"

Crimson sky, just a half smile away

Green roses, flashlights and melodies.

Fumbling fingers pick up a dead line

So surreal " your voice on the other side.

Smile and slide into my soul and I’ll

Trim it up with the trappings of your style.

Waving by " dust off the sandy waves

Gray sky’s turning candy apple green.

Chorus

It will trickledown

So let it slide out

It’s nothing

If it has to be right now.

Just another thing

To do without.

Another thing there’s

Nothing you can do about.

With a sly turn and smile

You got my world spinning upside down now.

Turn the lights off, I’ll zone out tonight

The ocean can’t match the blue of your eyes.

Walking through that one way turnstile.

Hey baby, stay for a little while

Fire up your flying machine

I’ll prove to you you’re the girl of my dreams.
