When the Rain Comes (Outtake)

When the Rain Comes (Outtake)

A Chapter by Shawn Purcell
"

This appears on the album as an instrumental but here are they lyrics I write for it.

"

To what choice do I owe the debt

Of this tragedy.

To what road do I owe the moments

I will never forget.

Destined for fame,

But similarly betrayed by

A half forgotten vision

Out on the graze.

Always in a daze.

A lost vow foolishly

Etched in a stone.

Listen to the rules and

Play them against their purpose.

Off the surface

Watching frequency

Masquerade as color.

On some level its real,

But really it’s a dream.

Chorus

Can this be a sign of what’s to come?

Blue skies darken when the rain comes.

And you’re watching it run

But the story is out of your hands.

They pulled the veil over your eyes

Like a stupid kid.

Throw on a nice clean suit,

And wear your tie.

Prepared to die,

But not before you’ve given life,

Been married

Retired,

Bought a house in the country,

And resolved sometimes its alright to be a liar.

You’re stopped because

Your mind can only go so far,

And there is only so much

They’ll let you know.

Tomorrow is gone and you can’t catch it.

If you could what would you change?

Or just follow suit.

Queen, King, Ace and back to two.

If my legs can last,

They can’t stop me.
