Make it Go Away

Make it Go Away

A Chapter by Shawn Purcell
"

A song about the things we can't cast away.

"

It’s 7 am,

And the heroes won’t come back again.

They set off in hustling wagons

Down a lonesome trail.

The sun was setting.

The leaves were wrestling.

The lonely road gamblers

Moved on and left us empty.

Chorus

I’m in over my head and drowning.

Make it go away.

I work so hard.

I work so hard.

In a desperate panic,

Replay every moment of your life

In mono hoping you can hear

Something just a little different

(What you missed the first time.)

Because you hope

Something inside you has changed.

But it hasn’t

And your not really sure why.

But you don’t care too much

About life at all.

Its for your enjoyment

Its really no ones fault.

The misery is redundant

And randomly gets worse.

You walk the footsteps blindly

Of the day before.

Bridge

Kill…Die

Kill...Die

Kill…Die

Make it go away.

Chorus

You’re in over your head and drowning.

Make it go away.

I work so hard.

I work so hard.

Bridge/Chorus

I work so hard.

(Kill…

I work so hard.

…Die)

You work so hard.

(Kill…

You work so hard

…Die)
