A Chapter by Shawn Purcell

After it was over,

I realized I made a difference.

What I said that mattered,

And what I said that didn't.

It was simple though really,

Because my word is the truth.

They were hanging on every word

And it all comes down to you.

Chorus

So I said you're free.

Live as you please.

They're are no rules.

You're who you want to be.

No traditions passed

For there's little truth in any.

No Flattery should force my hand

And no agenda my reason.

And once I spoke my piece

I walked away.

An empty spot in history

Off into the void.
