At Just The Wrong MomentA Chapter by Shawn PurcellTime and consciousness...
She said, “I don’t need this any more.
It’s been real but it’s over, It was real nice to know you. I really meant it when I said I love you.” And you feel like life is over And you’re sick of this tragedy The stage you’re playing‘s madness. As the curtain slowly falls At just the wrong moment She was waiting for an entrance But he was standing by the exit waiting. And its all escalating. And you start to think it’s wrong, And you remember how you used to think And you come back to the moment, And the seats are all empty. And she’s still there waiting, Anticipating what he’ll say. But she decided not to speak, And then she just waited. Flipping through the pages. “Does it really end this way? Do I really have to shatter? Do I really have to break?” © 2013 Shawn PurcellReviews
