In the Still of My Heart Beating

In the Still of My Heart Beating

A Chapter by Shawn Purcell

I've said too much
To pretend you were enough

I walked away
But I still hear your complaining

Long nights wasted
Left alone their fading.

Chorus 1

Spinning around
And I fall to the floor
As I listen for a sound
In the still of my heart beating

To feel the tear of your heartbreaking
Can't you see that I hate you
As clear as your tears crying
Just as plain as rage

What do you want?
What could you need?
I hear the phone

And the ringing makes me crazy

Bridge

I don't know if its ally or the truth
If it's me or if it's you

Chorus 2
Spinning around
As I fall to the floor

As I listen to the sound
In the still of my heart beating

I think I might drown
