Whispers

Whispers

A Poem by Breanna Ragland

The whispers turn into shouting,
The shouting turns into tears.
The dreams turn into nightmares,
The nightmares turn into fears.

The memories flood back,
And I think of you.
They remind me of our terrible past,
And all the pain you put me through!

Your lying ways,
And your cheating days.
Your hurtful thoughts,
And all the suffering they brought.

I'll never forget,
I hope you know...

The shouting dies to silence,
There is no more pain.
And while I recover from it all,
You'll slowly go insane...
...
...
...

The "insane" stands for the punishment he gets for the pain he cause the girl. And the "...s" stand for the slowness of the insanity. I thought it added a certain feel to the piece but thanks for the commentary, I'll take what you said into extream consideration. :) and plus, this was written in about 2 minutes so it's not very good. But thank you.

A little melodramatic at parts ("you'll slowly go insane"), and I don't really get the ...s at the end but I really loved the first quatrain. Good atmosphere.
