Down These Halls

Down These Halls

A Poem by Breanna Ragland

She walked down

The hall of this cathloic school

She walked by people

Bag over her shoulder

People whisperd

People stared

Their judging her

By how she looks

And what she wears

When she talks in class

The cheerleaders Laughed and mocked her

The teacher said "Quiet down"

But soon eveyone

Was laughing

her eyes swim

With tears

she sits down

Drops her head

Down like

She's ashamed to be what she is

She feels she doesnt belong

Anywhere.

She walks down these cathloic halls

one last time

For tomorrow

She leaves for a place

With no hate

A place as diverse as possible

A place where she can

Be what she really is
