In My Head

In My Head

A Poem by Breanna Ragland

In my head

Your better off dead

In my head

She’s crying on your bed

In my head

The casket door shuts

In my head

It me she confronts

In my head

Her pain makes me smile

In my head

It’s worth the while

In my head

They mourn for you

In my head

They miss you too

In my head

I secretly cry

In my head

I wish you didn’t die

In my head

There’s a missing piece

In my head

It’s all I need

In my head

It’s what helped me sleep

In my head

It’s the picture of you I burned in the street

In my head

I try not to weep

In my head

I’m stronger than you think

In my head

Ill never let it show

In my head

It’s buried deep down below

In my head

I don’t need pain

In my head

My wings clipped, I fall with the rain

In my head

I’m yours again

In my head

Were best friends

In my head

Now we never fight

In my head

We stay up all night

In my head

Were together

In my head

Its forever

But on the outside

I clutch the knife

Hoping to see you again

I make the pain end.

Great rhyming in this piece. I think the repetitions of In My Head make the poem and it's meaning so much better. Wonderful Idea, and Imagery.
