In My Corner

In My Corner

A Poem by Breanna Ragland

I sit in my corner,

So lonely, so cold.

I sit in my corner,

My little abode.

I sit in my corner,

My safety box.

I sit in my corner,

On top of my rocks.

I sit in my corner,

So tiny, so fragile.

I sit in my corner,

And watch you smile.

I sit in my corner,

Not happy but sad.

I sit in my corner,

I guess I was bad.

I sit in my corner,

With little black spots.

I sit in my corner,

In red and blue dots.

No, I’m not a cat,

Not a dog or a frog,

No not a bat,

But a child lost in fog.

I sit in my corner,

And think of you.

I sit in my corner,

So confused.

I sit in my corner,

I cry alone.

I sit in my corner,

This is home.

I'm starting to think this is your trademark poetry writing style. I really like how you write in this form. It's wonderful. Great poem.
