Ayilliterate

A Poem by Kayleen
"

sometimes when i cant make my brain do what i want, this happens.

"
I opened this to write an item ingeniously inspiring
And I ponder why I'm plagued with unproductively perspiring
In effort to produce some perfected poetry
Fabricate some fabulous philosophy
Or perhaps attack a problem quite profound
Yet in this endeavor more than ever, I'm unable to expound
How this presents a problem quite perplexing
And in that vein, so very vexing
Because my brain has been giving it's best shot
Yet the words are still wrong and wildly miswrought
So, sorrowfully, I offer you no stanzas of sensation
Instead I've only this illustration
Of increasingly bad alliteration

I love reading poems that people write when they are convinced that they have a writer's block preventing them to do so.
This is a prime example because in your time of seeming creative distress, you created this awesome gem of genius.

In effort to produce some perfected poetry
Fabricate some fabulous philosophy

I especially enjoyed those lines. It probably was mainly the alliteration that you appear to dread by the end.
Anyways, keep it up. And even when you feel the need to write in times where you feel like you can't, do it. Because this is proof of just how good the results can be.

PS> I've found it also helps when you feel like you are stuck writing a paper for school, to write something right along the lines of this poem. Although then I'm usually up till 4 in the morning, writing the paper. But...It helps.

I like it a lot. Poetry about poetry. I like your use of rhyme here as well. I think you get your description of this frustration is brought across very well.

I like it because it is honest and mildly witty. I suffer those doubts. But we go on, smashing words in our crazy urge to be noticed, alive, and loved.

Well that was quite unique and certainly relatable... striving for perfection is alway unattainable cause we are human... and in poetry the reality is perfection is in the eye of the beholder so as long as the piece you write is from the soul it is already perfection.

i love it mainly because its really different. Its good to write things even if you have no idea where the words came from, seems like your not trying to impress anyone which is what all writers should be doing; not writing for others, but for theirselves! great job
