Ayilliterate

A Poem by Kayleen
"

sometimes when i cant make my brain do what i want, this happens.

"
I opened this to write an item ingeniously inspiring
And I ponder why I'm plagued with unproductively perspiring
In effort to produce some perfected poetry
Fabricate some fabulous philosophy
Or perhaps attack a problem quite profound
Yet in this endeavor more than ever, I'm unable to expound
How this presents a problem quite perplexing
And in that vein, so very vexing
Because my brain has been giving it's best shot
Yet the words are still wrong and wildly miswrought
So, sorrowfully, I offer you no stanzas of sensation
Instead I've only this illustration
Of increasingly bad alliteration

This was cute! It's going in my library to read every time I need a bit of inspiration, a smile on my face as I try to hit the wonderful words in my head on my keyboard. :)

This poem is so good at what it does. The first 2 lines are amazing not only because it rhymes. It's like the classic "I'm a poet and I didn't know it" x9000 thing. I like how the poem contradicts itself. Nobody will read anything like that in a long time.

it's very good, and interesting throughout. my only gripe is that line 2 just seems... awkward. otherwise, sounds good

Excellent! There is definite intelligence, creativity, and thoughfulness in these words.....

This is so raw and yet so deep, I absolutely loved it...so thoughtful!

This is sharp and quite enjoyable to read.
It;s funny how we start writing to convey one point and we end up writing about something completely different and it's wonderful anyways!
Great write.

It is odd how, while in searching for the right word, we find ourselves plagued by an abundance of the seemingly wrong word. The more we fight it, the worse it becomes. Perhaps our muse woke on the wrong side of the bed. Perhaps our muse is still asleep in bed somewhere, and it is the muse's evil twin having absconded with an unabridged dictionary that sets forth to wreak havoc with our simplest thoughts. Perhaps it is a test of our vernacular fortitude, in allowing such verbosity to have its way with us for but a moment so that we can break through to the other side to find the prize offered in simpler words with greater depth. So many perhaps, so easy to get distracted in them...perhaps.
