INT. CLASSROOM " AFTERNOON The lesson is over and the students are talking and having free time Stacy is sitting on Trisha’s desk, they are talking to each other. The teacher is nearby and listening.
TRISHA: Yeah, so he was like whatever and I totally threw his drink at him STACY: Wait, wait, wait, I didn’t know about this! TRISHA: Well you would have if you were there! You never come to anything TEACHER: Sounds like you missed out on an interesting night, Stacy.
Stacy and Trisha look at him surprised. They were unaware he was listening. Teacher gives them a smirk and the bell rings. They hurry out of the classroom with sheepish grins.
EXT. PARKING LOT- AFTERNOON Stacy and Trisha exit the school and head towards Trisha’s car.
TRISHA: So, are you gonna come this Friday? STACY: Huh? TRISHA: To the party! Ive been talking about it like the whole week. Hello! STACY: Oh, right! Uh, no I can’t make it TRISHA: Why not? You can never make it to anything. What’s the deal? STACY: Nothing. I just, I have a lot of stuff to do, like for college planning and my mom needs help and stuff like that. TRISHA: (Skeptical) Oh ok.
They get into Trisha’s car and pull out
EXT. NICE HOUSE " LATE AFTERNOON Trisha’s car pulls up in front of a nice house that appears to be Stacy’s. Stacy gets out of the car
STACY: Thanks for the ride. See you tomorrow. TRISHA: Alright. See ya.
Stacy waits and expects Trisha to drive away, Trisha does not. Stacy turns to the house and hesitantly heads up to the door of the house. When she is almost there Trisha drives away with a look of suspicion on her face. Stacy turns around with a sigh of relief and walks away from the house and in the opposite direction of Trisha. CUT TO EXT. BUS STOP -DUSK Stacy gets on a public bus heading for a bad part of town
CUT TO EXT. GHETTO HOUSE-NIGHT There is a glow from a television set coming from the window. Stacy walks up the sidewalk and goes into the house. The screen shuts behind her.
STACY; (Heard from outside) Hey dad, I'm home.
INT. GHETTO HOUSE-NIGHT There are trash and beer bottles all over the floor. It is a small cluttered house in need of repair. Stacy’s father is drunk and slumped in a chair in front of the TV. He does not acknowledge Stacy is there. Stacy does not expect him to stay anything to her and walks over the trash to get to her room.
INT. STACY’S ROOM - NIGHT Stacy’s room is very plain with a full length mirror by the door. Stacy puts her bag on her bed and opens her dresser. She pulls out a short skirt and tiny tank top. These are her “working clothes”. Stacy gets dressed, completing her look with knee high boots and fish net stockings. She leaves her room and heads out of the house.
EXT. STREET " NIGHT Stacy is with a few other working girls on the street in front of a theatre. They chat and look around for customers. A car pulls up and Stacy walks over to it and leans in the window.
DRIVER: (Clearly intoxicated)Hey babe
STACY: Hey. Stacy gets into the car. The car drives away and turns left towards the hotel CUT TO EXT. HOTEL ROOM DOOR " NIGHT The driver stumbles and opens the door to a hotel room. Stacy steps in and pulls the man in after her. Repeated action as Stacy pulls in several different men, portraying different times. The door slams closed.
INT. HOTEL ROOM. " MORNING Stacy wakes up staring at the ceiling. There is a man passed out in bed next to her. Stacy gets out of bed and heads to the bathroom. She picks her bag up off the floor, goes into the bathroom and shuts the door.
INT HOTEL BATHROOM "MORNING Stacy pulls a toothbrush out of her bag and brushes her teeth. She fixes her makeup and pull out some designer school clothes from her bag.
CUT TO INT. HOTEL ROOM. " MORNING Stacy walks out of the bathroom looking nice and dressed in school clothes. She walks past the bed and the man is still sleeping she grabs the money that was left for her on the night stand and walks out the door.
EXT. HOTEL ROOM DOOR " MORNING Stacy walks outside. It is very bright out. Stacy looks around, puts on her sunglasses and lights a cigarette. She walks out of shot.
EXT. SIDEWALK IN FRONT OF SCHOOL Stacy takes a deep breathe, puts on a smile and walks confidently into school.
INT. HALLWAY- MORNING Stacy is walking down the hall and sees Trisha.
STACY: Hey Trisha!
Trisha looks at her but doesn’t say anything
STACY: What? Is something the matter?
TRISHA: You know what Stacy, ive been thinking. You go off all the time, you never want to come places with me, ive never even been to your house and you avoid me like the plague outside of school. so why don’t you tell me what the hell the matter is? I'm getting sick of this Stacy, like, you say you’re my best friend and stuff, but, I don’t know, you kind of got an ‘effed up way of showing it.
STACY: (Sarcastic) Oh come on Trisha, really? Is this just because I don’t want to go to that stupid party with you?
TRISHA: (Angry) You know what Stacy?! You never understand.
Trisha slams her locker and storms off. Stacy is left standing there looking hurt and confused.
Fade out
INT. OUTSIDE CLASSROOM- AFTERNOON The bell rings and the door opens. Stacy is on of the first ones out. Trisha comes out behind her and goes the opposite direction. Stacy does not look happy and walks slowly down the hall and out to the parking lot. She is looking down most of the time
EXT. PARKING LOT- AFTERNOON Stacy is walking through the parking lot towards the sidewalk and walks past her teacher’s car. She des not notice his car and walks past.
TEACHER: Hey Stacy, isn’t Trisha giving you a ride home today?
Stacy is startled and looks up. She slightly embarrassed she didn’t notice him.
STACY: Oh, uh…no. we got into a little fight earlier, so yeah, no.
TEACHER: Oh well that’s too bad. I could give you a ride if you want. Is your house far?
STACY: Oh no that’s ok, I can walk. Thanks anyway. Um well have a good weekend
Teacher winks and gives her a smirk
TEACHER; Oh I'm planning on it.
Stacy looks a little confused and smiles at him curiously as he drives away.
INT. TEACHER CAR "AFTERNOON Teacher is driving down the road listening to his radio. He reaches over and opens his glove box, in it is some money. He thumbs through it and it appears to be around 80 dollars. He closes his glove box and smiles. CUT TO EXT. BUS STOP " AFTERNOON Stacy gets off a bus and starts walking towards her house. CUT TO Teacher pulls into a liquor store parking lot, parks his car and gets out. CUT TO Stacy is in her house and walks into her room to get ready for the night CUT TO
EXT. LIQUOR STORE- DUSK Teacher is in the liquor store and is finishing paying for some alcohol he walks out of the liquor store and shuts the door behind him CUT TO EXT. GHETTO HOUSE " DUSK Stacy walks out of her ghetto house and shuts the door behind her.
EXT. STREET IN FRONT OF THEATRE " NIGHT Stacy is with the other working girls again and is leaning against a light post waiting fro a client. A car pulls up and Stacy goes up to it.
DRIVER 2: Hey sweet thing, going my way? STACY: (Sweetly) well that depends on where your going. DRIVER 2: Well how far will ten bucks get me?
The driver tries to grab Stacy and kiss her. Stacy slaps him
STACY; Get the hell out of here! What kind of girl do you think I am? Keep your ten bucks and take it to Tijuana, babe. That’s the only place a pig like you will get any for that price.
The driver spits at her and she hits his window with her purse as he drives away. Stacy has her back to the street and is fixing her hair when another car pulls up. The window rolls down and it is the teacher. Stacy turns around and the both recognize each other at the same moment. The smile freezes on the teacher face and Stacy looks at him in shock.
STACY; Hey.
TEACHER: Hey
The camera pans out as Stacy gets into his car. The car drives off and turns left.
