YOU.

YOU.

A Poem by Kayleen

You rip me down from that place you built for me.

I say something and you spit it back with deadly force

Some twisted wreckage of what it was.

You rip and shred and turn and slash and burn whatever intent I had.

You see what you wanted in between your lies and your eyes and brutal tongue.

Your twisted thoughts reveal how young you are.

I pass you. Outclass you. And you want to tear me down.

I am what you wished for. I was what you lived for. And you cant stand it.

You created me.

I am your f*****g Narcissus flower.

I can see your reflection in my eyes and it destroys you.

You cant stand to say that I am right. You are wrong. Yet I know only because of you.

And you have succeeded in what you created

And you have made a monster.

And mother, how I love you.

Another rage against the mother piece. Life can be a chaotic swirl of confusion and frustration at times. I think this piece is a good show of how a daughter feels pushed away and held captive at the same time to a mother who is at a loss to understand the meaning behind having children.

A powerful yet deep set of words.

Now that was brutally raw and packed with emotional rage... when a parent is jealous of their child it really is pathetic, they should want nothing but the best for them... I like that you showed some class while venting your frustrations.

that entangle us without us knowing why,and this is a sign of a lovely write..
you rip me from a place you built for me..I say something and you spit it back in a twisted way
You shred and turn and burn every intent..I am what you wished for lived for but you cant stand it
