Keep Moving

Keep Moving

A Story by Kayleen
"

this was a guess the emotion assigment

"

Lacey is walking. She doesnt care where. she just needs to go; to keep moving. in the middle of the street she's moving. The cold is biting her cheeks, vicious like a dog but she doesnt care. she doesnt look behind her if she hears a car. she doesnt move. there is no stepping aside. hot tears run down her face as she tries desperately to hold them back. her knuckles are white from her clenched fists. there are children playing in the lamplight. they see her coming and quickly go inside.
