This was a quite unique take on empathizing with the abusee by presenting their perspective and their thoughts: the way they believe that insignificance is bliss, like you say, and the fact that upon facing abuse, they clam up and begin to look at everything robotically, lacking emotion and stating everything as just a statement. It reminds me of a quote from Prozac Nation, although I can't recall it. Well done.
It is very rythmic and interesting, however I had to read it twice before I started to understand; I still don't completely understand. Pretty though...
This was really good, said so much in few words. I feel it speaks about modern society, the way people seem to be out to "get theirs" and screw everyone else.
You put it perfectly in how it sounds like a murder then a sexual situation but it can be one and the same thing.
This has a great rhythm to it, particularly when read out loud. The opening lines are definitely my favorite. It's almost like a passionate encounter. Great technique here. Penny
A interesting poem. Nice use of words leading to lost of pride and being controlled. I like the poem. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

An interesting feeling washes over as I read this of a muted form of eroticism with hints of a deeper love under the layers of simple words. More than the sum of it's parts if you ask me.
Life without meaning and yet a yearning for control. A multitude of emotions and beliefs now void. There is control only in afterlife. The question still remains, Is there an afterlife? Even if there is, how do you intend to take control for it may be a vicious circle that continues death after death after death.
Or simply a silent plea for ethereal love.
Such is my understanding of your words.
The words are a work of wonder. Cheers.
