i don't know why i keep writing things about attractive people, it just happens.

She is a burning hot star in a burnt-out
Solar system
An angel singing
show tunes under her breath in time
With the beating of my heart
A long lost treasure no one’s remembered to
Look for
With cat eyes and a crooked smile
Thick with the smell of fall and lilacs
And sweat
She sings and I fall to my
Knees and hope that one day she’ll sing
Words about me
And hope that one day her eyes will
Light up when I walk into the room
And hope that one day
She will see me in a crowd and wonder why
She never took a chance
When she could have had
a
   l
     l
Of me exactly when she wanted
