You call me beautiful, yet you want me to cover my face.
You say I'm smart, but I shouldn't waste my time with college.
You tell me I am good at my job and that you are too, yet you steal from me.
You promise me you won't hurt me, then you bit me on my leg.
You tell me you want me to be yours but you hate me when i don't excite you right when you ask me to.
You say I should be who I am, and you tell me to change myself into something I am not.
You say that my sister is sweet, but you say things behind her back.
You tell me I'm loving, but when I say that your mother loves you, you scream at me to shut up.
You encourage me to speak my opinions, then you call me stupid.
You say that I am strong, still you call me cowardly.
But what hurts most of all is that you promise me you love me.
But in return for the love I give you, you cheat on me.
I cannot say that I do not love you still.
I cannot say that I do not think about you.
But I can say I want the truth
Under every lie you have told me you led me to believe was true.
