Bottled Up Beauty

Bottled Up Beauty

A Poem by Lacedletters

For some, beauty
Is a trait best
Worn brazen in
Bright lights and
Loud nights out
With people who
Never think
Twice. But that
Kind of beauty
Fades quickly
To wrinkles
And warps
Where paint once
Lived then died.
But the beauty
You wear, you don’t
Wear at all.
This beauty is
You inside
And out and
That you shine
There is no doubt.
For your beauty cannot
Be washed away
With a towel
And your beauty cannot
Be bought on an aisle
The beauty you wear,
You don’t wear at all.
For your beauty is
In the warmth
Of your
Smile.
