Phoenix Blue

Phoenix Blue

A Poem by Puck

Behold a light, opalescent, so subtle

Breath held, mesmerized, to look upon it more

Paradoxical cool warmth soothes a soul muddled

Mythical creature, birthed from campfire folklore

Nimrod bows to no man or god

Rebels the old world with mad design

Opens his gates to the quiver of light, in awe

Kneeling before fluttering feathers divine

Athena beyond wisdom and discernment,

Unparalleled heroism, muse to creative minds

Gazes upon those sandstorm eyes with amusement

Seeing her counterpart is a philosopher stone’s find

Bards weave grand tales of inspired lyrical song

Behold the cobalt phoenix where a bard’s fire belongs
