Beyond The Yellow Tape

Beyond The Yellow Tape

A Poem by Pete
"

Live in each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influence of the earth. - Thoreau

"
Concrete Barricade Caution Tape Blowing ...

there is love in the breeze
along with reminiscence in the trees
happiness in the red berries of holly
lush humility in flesh's folly

yesterday is for sorrow
as tomorrow we beg and borrow
"please move along, there's nothing more here to see"
too bad we can't just let it be
sorry, i have to kindly disagree

"The light which puts out our eyes is darkness to us. Only that day dawns to which we are awake. There is more day to dawn. The sun is but a morning star." - Thoreau
